BRIT FM News and Sport

July, I worked on BRIT FM, The BRIT School’s radio station that broadcasts live in on 87.7FM in the Croydon area and online throughout the summer. I worked as a news presenter; writing the bulletins, shaping the agenda, gathering interviews, prerecording vox-pox’s and driving the desk.

I was part of a team of 7, including; Andrew Brackin, Jonny Dowlnig, Jade Lewis, Jessica-May Hart with Perpe Brade and Rosin Rooney as our producers, working shifts to broadcast live throughout the day. We also worked with the sports team who presented their story’s with us. We gathered the news from a variety of sources; using internet as our main source, but also doing phone interviews and vox-pox’s with people in the surrounding Selhurst area. We wanted to broadcast ‘fresh, local, informative and relevant’ news and we achieved this through; having the most up to date stories, keeping a local story in our agenda.

Here is a clip strip of our broadcast, from recordings of our last three shows.
